Here at Same but Different, we use the arts for positive social change. Whilst our work is varied we have primarily worked with those affected by disability and rare disease which is an area of interest as several members of the team have lived experience.
Recognising that there is much talk about the cost of living crisis we understand how hard it is for our community and want to explore how it affects people specifically who have or care for someone with a rare disease or disability. We know your needs can often be unique and are not always highlighted in policy or the media.
We appreciate that it can be a sensitive area for some to discuss, however, the information that you are willing to share to enable us to identify where the most support is needed. Please think about how it affects you personally (whether as a carer or someone with a rare disease or disability), for example taking into account any extra costs of running essential life-saving equipment, increased fuel prices and parking, or taxi and public transport costs to get to and from vital hospital appointments. The extra costs for fundamental health needs.
Please complete the survey and if you are interested just let us know at the end if you’d be happy for us to contact you to discuss the survey further.
We would like to thank you for taking part in our survey. Please do feel free to get in touch via email at claire@samebutdifferentcic.org.uk if you would like to discuss anything further in regard to the cost of living crisis or have any questions.
Thank you once again! We appreciate your time and participation.
